I am attaching an opinion article by Paul John Scott that recently appeared in the Sunday editorial opinion section of the Star Tribune, April 26, 2015.
Surprisingly, sugar is listed as "Public Enemy No. 1"
Because sugar is such an important product in Minnesota, it is important that we learn how to transition to better crops, as we come to understand that companies and businesses are producing jobs because of this enemy. As indicated in the article, Minnesota employs 24,000 sugar workers, more than any other state. Beets, producing beet sugar, pump three billion dollars into the local Red River Valley.
Our consciousness is changing. Let us invite the future into our lives.
